Not an easy question. If someone is in search of the truth, then he will probably start with what can be clearly and comprehensibly proven by science.
Check Your Own Setting
First, it's important to ask yourself a few questions about yourself. Who am I, who am I not? What do I want and what not? How do I see my life, the world in the global? Which core values determine my own life?
Those are tough questions. That is why they are so rarely answered. Hardly anyone takes the time and effort to go deeper into the innards of their own lives and get to the bottom of the truth.
For many questions like these, our own attitude is actually the basis of our answers. We made this based on our experience and from the media world. You seem credible to us. It is interesting that many opinions can sometimes completely ignore reality.
Is the earth flat? Really ?
It used to be a real question. Very few believe it today. This question could be answered thanks to scientific documentation. However, this is not possible for all questions.
It's good that we have satellites that send us pictures of our earth and moon. This makes the truth easy to see.
Can you prove God's existence?
I know some who would answer this question immediately with YES based on their own experiences with HIM. For many people who go through everyday life with God, gain experience with HIM and gain knowledge and wisdom through His biblical word and thus significantly improve their lives, they are all totally convinced of God's existence. Those who have not done this existential test can at best answer with I DON'T KNOW.
A group of different scientists in the USA got together decades ago and wanted to address this question: Is there a God. Since they were not religious themselves and only wanted to answer this question scientifically, they came to the conclusion, that this intelligent design of nature must also have an intelligent designer.
How are attitudes formed?
Our attitudes arise from experience and are shaped by our family, friends and acquaintances. The influence of television, internet, magazines, advertising - social media - is also increasing.
We experience something and think that it must always be that way. We see something 10 times on TV and we think it's true. This even if many, many people have had completely different experiences. We think we know the truth. Are we really doing this?
I'm not saying that everything we believe is wrong. I just mean that there are many areas where we cannot be sure.
Our attitudes towards the things around us are not always the truth and do not always correspond to reality. In many cases they are just any ideas, opinions and points of view. Unfortunately, they are often still opinions with which we make life difficult for ourselves. And there are also attitudes that make our lives easier and more beautiful.
The temperament has a strong influence on our attitudes.
Especially the melancholy temperament takes its own opinion very seriously. For this temperament, the truth is very important. Just believing something quickly is out of the question. It needs to be checked first.
Only when we accept the thought that our attitudes do not always have to be the truth can we change our attitudes ourselves.
"The Truth Will Set You Free!"
I like this sentence because I've seen it many times. Truth has something fascinating about it. This sentence comes from JESUS personally. It mostly only applies to people who get involved with HIM. Because it only happens when we get involved in His word, ie. take it seriously and try to incorporate it into our lives. "I am the truth!" Jesus said. Very interesting statement!
Since Jesus' words are based on divine LOVE, something positive, constructive and valuable will emerge from them.
It is a challenging idea for us humans that the Son of God voluntarily allowed himself to be crucified for us humans. The depth of such a love for one's own creatures is beyond our imagination.
A man looked from outside the Oppenheimer Dom in Rheinhessen DE. “Very nice,” he said, “I've seen everything. Only the windows are a bit dark. Nobody can see what's on it. It's a shame. ”The guide invited him to go into the cathedral. "All right," he said and went with him. And what did he see? In addition to all the splendid furnishings, he saw the windows from the inside with their wonderfully clear message.
And so it is also in our life with regard to JESUS: We can leave HIM outside a thousand times. But as soon as we decide to let HIM into our hearts and we are interested in His truth, we will quickly experience how the truth can set us free.
I wish you that with all my heart.
